Trust, privacy, and family data protection.
Chorsies helps families build calmer routines, fair pocket money habits, and real-world responsibility. That only works if parents can trust the platform with their family's information.
We design Chorsies with parent control, child privacy, and practical security at the centre.
This page is maintained by the Chorsies team to answer common security and privacy questions about the Chorsies app. It is not an independent certification.
Parents stay in control
Parents create and manage family accounts, children, tasks, approvals, rewards, and settings. Chorsies is built as a parent-led family tool, not a platform that markets directly to children.
We minimise family data
Chorsies only asks for information needed to run the product, such as account details, family setup, child display names, tasks, rewards, and progress.
Child privacy matters
Children's information should be handled carefully, respectfully, and with clear parent oversight. Chorsies does not need children to share sensitive personal information to use the core app.
Security is part of the product
We use modern authentication, role-based access, encrypted connections, secure hosting practices, and documented internal controls to protect the platform as it grows.
We are honest about assurance
Chorsies is not currently SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified. As the product grows, we are building toward a stronger trust posture, including documented policies, vendor review, incident response, and readiness for future independent assurance if larger partners require it.
- Parent account information

Chorsies should not be used to store highly sensitive family information, such as passports, medical records, banking passwords, school records, legal documents, or emergency credentials.

- Authenticated access for parent/family accounts
- Role-based access controls for administrative features
- Separation between public pages and authenticated app areas
- Documented incident response process
- Vendor and subprocessor tracking
- Regular review of privacy, terms, and security practices
- App Store and Play Store security checks during native release
Chorsies is designed for parents to manage family routines and responsibility. Children can use the app experience within the boundaries set by their parent or guardian.
We avoid direct child-targeted purchase prompts. Payment and subscription decisions are parent-facing.
Chorsies is currently in early launch. The near-term trust focus is practical: clear policies, secure product defaults, careful data handling, and documented operational controls.
As Chorsies grows, we may pursue one or more of:
- SOC 2 readiness review
- SOC 2 Type I or Type II audit
- ISO 27001 readiness and certification
- Essential Eight maturity assessment
- Independent penetration testing
